UNA Board Governance Badge Training (Part 3)

This is a 3 part training course. The first two classes will be a training on the evidence list and the last class (workshop) will be a time to have your organization work on the materials. By signing up for this training, you must attend all three classes.

Class dates & times:

  • May 19, 2016 from 9:00-3:00 p.m.
  • June 2, 2016 from 9:00-3:00 p.m.
  • August 4, 2016 from 9:00-1:00 p.m.

Registration is PER organization. You may bring as many people as you'd like to attend.

We'd encourage board members & Executive Directors to attend together.

$150 member organizations/$300 for non-member organizations

About the training class:

Nonprofit boards govern by providing high-level vision and leadership to ensure sound stewardship of organizational assets and resources.

This badge will give you the knowledge and tools to take your board governance to the next level. Through discussion format, this topic will reveal how to:

Create and support an active, engaged boardOrient and provide ongoing training to board members on their roles and responsibilitiesUse your board to build public understanding and trustEnsure your bylaws and policies and procedures align with and inform how your organization's work is doneProvide financial oversight and monitoring to the organizationSet organizational goals and assess performanceSuccessfully build a partnership between the board and the CEO (as applicable)
